AI Education Summit Review: Is the Free 3-Day Event Worth Your Time?
An independent look at Alicia Lyttle's free virtual summit for educators, based on the official page, the published agenda and the host's track record. What the 18-minute format delivers, who the speakers really are, and where the upsell sits.
Short version: The AI Education Summit is a real, free 3-day virtual event from Alicia Lyttle's AI InnoVision, running October 22 to 24, 2026. It packs 44 sessions of about 18 minutes each into three days, with a no-pitch rule for speakers. For a teacher, school leader or trainer who wants a fast survey of classroom AI, it is worth a free seat. Know two things first: the speakers all come from Lyttle's own consultant certification program, and the recordings sit behind a paid VIP upgrade.
A note on timing: this review was written before the October 2026 event, from the official page and published agenda. We will add what the live sessions were like after the summit closes. Nothing below claims we attended.
What is the AI Education Summit?
It is a free online summit about AI in teaching and learning, hosted by Alicia Lyttle, the AI strategist and TEDx speaker behind AI InnoVision. She also runs the AI Business Summit and the AI Insights Summit, and this event uses the same model: a large lineup, free entry, an optional VIP pass, and paid programs after the event.
The official page targets K-12 teachers, higher-ed faculty, school leaders, EdTech builders, healthcare educators, trainers and lifelong learners. The promise is practical AI strategies "for the classroom and beyond", with no coding background needed.
One naming note. Several unrelated conferences use similar names. This review covers the event at aiandeducationsummit.com, presented by AI InnoVision.
Dates, times and format
- Dates: Thursday October 22 to Saturday October 24, 2026
- Times: 10am to 4pm ET each day, doors at 9:30am ET, a lunch break just before 1pm
- Where: live online, attend from anywhere
- Sessions: 15 on day 1, 16 on day 2, 13 on day 3, each about 18 minutes
- Host: Alicia Lyttle, with Stacey Hines (AI transformation strategist, creator of the Caribbean AI Summit) as master of ceremonies
You do not have to attend every session. The official FAQ says to pick the ones that fit your interests and schedule, and with six hours a day that is the right approach.
What the sessions cover
The agenda groups talks into tracks. Classroom AI and Curriculum & Learning carry the most sessions, which suits the teacher audience. A sample from the published agenda:
- Classroom AI: Pamela Berry on building a month of instruction in minutes, Mesha Bazemore on turning one lesson into workbooks and posters, Takhia Gaither's TEACH & PAUSE filter for using AI without compromising what you teach.
- Curriculum and policy: Lee Ann Prather's "Don't Ban It. Teach It.", Dr. Troy N. Thomas on an ethical AI framework, and Christina Cooper on what school leaders must verify before approving an AI tool.
- Leadership: Mick Sandoval, Ed.D., on a 15-minute AI reset for campus leaders, and Dr. Sarah David on leading higher education into the future of work.
- Beyond the classroom: health education (nursing prep, kidney patient education), AI literacy for elders, homeschooling, career changes after 50, and a few entrepreneurship talks.
- Special guest: Ava Allen, a 13-year-old, on using AI as a personal tutor that teaches instead of handing over answers.
The spread is wide. A K-12 teacher will find roughly half the agenda directly useful. The rest is AI literacy, health education and career content that may or may not fit you.
Who the speakers really are
This is the detail most visitors miss. The official FAQ says every speaker is a member of Alicia Lyttle's AI Certified Consultants program. They are working educators, nurses, administrators and consultants with real field experience, and many hold doctorates. They are not famous names from big EdTech companies or national policy bodies.
That cuts both ways. Practitioners who use AI in actual schools often give more usable advice than keynote celebrities. But the lineup also works as a showcase for Lyttle's certification, so expect that program to come up between sessions. Our AI Consultant Certification review covers what it costs and what it includes.
What you get for free
- Live access to all three days of sessions
- About 18 minutes per talk, so each speaker has to lead with the tactic
- Speaker gifts: the official page says many speakers share resources after their session
- Closing remarks and networking at the end of each day
What free does not include: the recordings. The official FAQ is direct about it. The summit is recorded, and the recordings are available when you buy the VIP upgrade with lifetime access. We cover the free and VIP split on the AI Education Summit pricing page.
What to keep in mind
- Replays cost money. If you teach on Thursday and Friday, most of the live sessions clash with your own classes. For a working teacher, VIP may be the real price of the event.
- The funnel is real. Speakers do not pitch from stage, but the event promotes the VIP pass, and AI InnoVision sells paid programs afterwards. Keep the decision to attend separate from the decision to buy.
- One ecosystem, one viewpoint. Because every speaker comes through the same certification, the summit gives you one network's view of AI in education. It will not cover critical research on AI in schools or the large vendor platforms in depth.
- Long days. Six hours a day for three days is a lot of screen time. Pick sessions in advance.
- Mixed fit. Health, career and business talks share the agenda with classroom content. Filter by track.
Where the summit earns its spot
- The format respects your time. An 18-minute cap forces each speaker to deliver one usable idea.
- The topics are practical. Lesson planning, differentiated materials, AI policy for schools and teaching students to use AI well are the questions teachers actually ask in 2026.
- No pitches inside sessions. That is rare for free summits, and it changes how the talks feel.
- It costs nothing to try. Free registration with no card. If the first morning does not suit you, leave.
Who should attend (and who shouldn't)
Register if you are a teacher, school leader, trainer, homeschooling parent or healthcare educator who is new to AI or wants fresh classroom ideas, and you can watch some of it live. The beginner-friendly level fits people who have used ChatGPT a little and want concrete use cases.
Skip it if you want academic research on AI in education, technical depth on tools, or a neutral overview of the EdTech market. Also skip it if you cannot attend live and do not want to pay for replays.
How it compares to Lyttle's other summits
Same host and same model, different audience. The flagship AI Business Summit targets entrepreneurs who want to earn with AI. The AI Insights Summit and AI Mastery Summit cover AI across many industries. The AI Education Summit is the one built for people who teach. If you work in a school, this is the most relevant of the four.
Is it legit?
Yes. AI InnoVision is a real company in Palm Bay, Florida, BBB accredited since March 2025, and Alicia Lyttle is a public figure with a traceable record. The fair criticism is the sales funnel, not fraud. We go through the evidence in Is the AI Education Summit legit?
Our verdict
For an educator who wants a practical, beginner-level look at AI in the classroom, the AI Education Summit is an easy free registration. The format is efficient and the topics match real school problems. Go in knowing that the speakers come from Lyttle's own program and that replays cost extra, and choose your sessions before October 22.
Registration is free on the official page. No card required.
